And Some More Perspective

We're still learning perspective.

I failed my first assignment last week; we had to draw 50 cylinders in perspective, and I guess I got a bit too crazy and started drawing non-cylindrical shapes in an attempt to show the 'exploration' my other assignments lacked.

Of course, we can redo all of our assignments, and I take a failing grade as a opportunity to better myself.

And, this week, we were supposed to research certain household items, print them out, and draw them in two point perspective. After we draw the items individually, we were supposed to construct our own room corner with said objects, still using two vanishing points.

I wish I had the scanned imagine of my room, but I never snagged the file from the school computers.

Anyway, I got a B on the assignment, which in the art program translates into, "you showed you did more than exemplary work for a student," and I don't have to redo it. A's are only for students who can turn in professional-grade projects.

Feels like a nice pick-me up after last week's F.

I may or may not have pulled an all-nighter, but that's just how it goes. The running joke is that "you can see the all-nighter on all the faces of every BFA student during art 101".
I really hope I can change that for myself soon.

Other good news of this week:

I got a 90% on my first art history essay
I got a B- on an art theory assignment
I got a 94% on my first storyboarding project
my art 101 teacher didn't dock me 40% when he discovered I've been naming my assignments wrong
I survived the week
