There was a while there where my pup, Roudy, would absolutely have to jump on my bed whenever I was on it. I'm glad he got over that.

Bring Me............... the disco...... king..........
I accidentally listened to this song for eight hours straight the other day because it kind of loops, but I thought I should share.
Final Skit
My acting for animation class is still really weird.
I was really sick the other week and I had to go home early because I was throwing up at school. My acting teacher really wasn't pleased though and sent me a pretty angry email, so my group had to film our skit before the next class.
It's really rough; it's the first time we ran through it, but we were short on time and energy.
I don't know if we'll have to record it again? but whatever.
Game Team Showcase!
Well, my game team did it
Freshmen games aren't taken very seriously (for obvious reasons). I was told only one freshmen team gets onto the end of year student showcase, but I heard there's two others? Whatever, we still got onto the showcase too.
I'll share the link to the download as soon as it gets put on the school game gallery. I've played the intro, and it's super spooky!
I got behind on my work though, haaa. As an artist, I don't really get to hear any deadlines. All the programmers hear them in class and from their friends, so I think they just don't realize that the artists don't get the same treatment? Game teams aren't a requirement for us, so we hear literally nothing.
But, that meant I had to work 28 hours straight on my remaining work because SURPRISE! Everything had to be done right away. I don't mind, but there's a lot of things I wish I could have fixed/done differently. At least I know for the future?
I definitely have a goal to be more professional when it comes to deadlines; that's what I focused on already through all of this, but it didn't always work out as planned

Finals week Semester 2
Finals are kicking my trash. I only have two actual exams, but I have loads of big final projects.
I have to do a short film for Film class, perform a group skit in front of everyone in my class for Acting for Animation, do a long, creative animation, draw the entire human body in every view w/ all the bones/muscles/tendons (labelled), turn in a final portfolio for figure drawing, and take a color theory exam (basically painting color swatches).
I can't believe summer is almost here though. I'm really intimidated to not be in class since I've been living such an intense workload for the past 8 months. I'll be taking some free workshops my school is offering to my class in hopes of preventing too many people dropping out next semester; freshmen year only focuses on traditional art (drawing without a computer), but sophomore year we pretty much only work digitally, and for some people, that's a hard transition.
I'm looking forward to it though. Sophomore year is a lot more creative. We take character creation classes, projects, etc, etc.
I also plan on setting up a new portfolio this summer so I can start selling prints, having tables at conventions, and opening commissions (and of course, prepping for a professional internship next summer).
I have a schedule set out, so it won't really be a break. I'm staying in Washington so I can still have access to school and my instructors while I try to build this up.

Acting For Ani Skit Storyboard
Final Painting
Well, there it is! My last assignment for my color theory class. The following weeks will be spent preparing for the final test.
I haven't gotten a grade yet, but my professor saw it as I was handing it in and gave a very enthusiastic, "wow, nice," so you know........ basically set forever.......... (I hope.)
The theme's supposed to represent conflict. We had to pick four colors from the CMYK color wheel and desaturate them.

Hey Dreamy Dreamy
Our second to last painting assignment, we had the theme 'dream'. We just had to make two colors and do value scales for them and a warmer and cooler version
Inverses
I got really upset with these paintings. I still got B's on them, but I was still really unhappy with how they turned out.
They're the compliments of each other and the inverse. (on a CMYK color wheel)

Tints n Shades
Our first color paintings, we had to just do standard value scales for each painting.
