Finals week Semester 2

Finals are kicking my trash. I only have two actual exams, but I have loads of big final projects.

I have to do a short film for Film class, perform a group skit in front of everyone in my class for Acting for Animation, do a long, creative animation, draw the entire human body in every view w/ all the bones/muscles/tendons (labelled), turn in a final portfolio for figure drawing, and take a color theory exam (basically painting color swatches).

I can't believe summer is almost here though. I'm really intimidated to not be in class since I've been living such an intense workload for the past 8 months. I'll be taking some free workshops my school is offering to my class in hopes of preventing too many people dropping out next semester; freshmen year only focuses on traditional art (drawing without a computer), but sophomore year we pretty much only work digitally, and for some people, that's a hard transition.

I'm looking forward to it though. Sophomore year is a lot more creative. We take character creation classes, projects, etc, etc.

I also plan on setting up a new portfolio this summer so I can start selling prints, having tables at conventions, and opening commissions (and of course, prepping for a professional internship next summer).
I have a schedule set out, so it won't really be a break. I'm staying in Washington so I can still have access to school and my instructors while I try to build this up.
