It's different out here compared to Utah, but I still enjoy it. It's still a shock to go look out the window only to see:
yeah, wow. Trees. Only trees. I don't know what else I always expect.
Besides that, the rain's manageable, and the overcast isn't even that daunting (yet), and even though everyone complains about the humidity, I honestly have't noticed.
It doesn't feel too different in the city I'm at, but it's still been a cultural shock; I never thought living outside of Utah would do that to me. I walk into the grocery store, and it boggles my mind that they can have two full aisles of just tea and coffee or that there has to be a starbucks kiosk in the middle of every building you go into, even though there's a starbucks next door and across the street with smaller coffee shacks in between.
But hey, I like it here. The people are nicer, the drivers are more aggressive (not sure if this is a good thing yet), and the food tastes fresher. Washington's been good to me so far.
