I'm taking Art 125 this semester, which is basically the continuation of Art 101. 125 is a painting/colour theory class while 101 was drawing/draftsmanship.
Our first assignment was to draw 50 thumbnails that features a model doing an action pose. A thumbnail is basically a small plan that focuses more on composition than quality/form.
No one really got that though; our teacher was disappointed because everyone focused too much on the model than the actual composition.
I tried to focus on the composition more than anything else, but I didn't convey it very well. I got a C, but I guess that's better than everyone else who has to completely redo the entire assignment since they only drew the model 50 times.
We already started painting in class. I've never really painted before, so it's kind of intimidating! My professor's main thing is paint though, so I feel like we're in good hands.
